Welcome to Hour Power of Franklin/Grand Isle
Hour Power of Franklin/Grand Isle is Northwestern Vermont's time bank - a community network where members exchange goods and services with one another by exchanging time instead of money. At Hour Power, we believe all community members have valuable skills that can benefit others and strengthen community. The purpose of Hour Power is to facilitate a network where community members can assist each other.
Here's How Hour Power Works
- Members accumulate Community Credits (AKA TimeDollars) by providing a good or service to a fellow member (1 hour of time equals 1 Community Credit)
- Members spend their acquired Community Credits receiving goods and services provided by other members. Note: members may also spend their credits by donating them to other members
- When you receive a good or service from another member, your account is debited the number of Community Credits spent providing you a good or service
- When you provide a good or service to another member, your account is credited for the amount of time you spent providing the good or service
- Members log credits and debits through their Community Weaver account
